There's no place like home for D.C. Everest, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wausau East Lumberjacks on Thursday. The Evergreens haven't had any issues with the Lumberjacks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

D.C. Everest never let Wausau East on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-22, 25-20.

D.C. Everest can attribute much of their success to Lilly Peterson, who had 22 digs. Peterson has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played.

The victory got D.C. Everest back to even at 16-16. As for Wausau East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-23.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. After both having extra time off, D.C. Everest and Eau Claire North will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wausau East, they will challenge Chippewa Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
