Monument Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-31 heartbreaker at the hands of The Colorado Springs School Kodiaks. One positive for the Lynx, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Monument Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Matthew Smith posted 15 points.

The Colorado Springs School got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Michael Huang out in front who earned nine points.

Monument Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for The Colorado Springs School, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

Monument Academy will take on Ascent Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for The Colorado Springs School, they will square off against Colorado School for the Deaf Blind at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Colorado Springs School is facing Colorado School for the Deaf Blind at the right time seeing as Colorado School for the Deaf Blind is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
