Volleyball Game Preview: Avery County Vikings vs. Hendersonville Bearcats + How To Watch

Avery County hasn't had much luck against Hendersonville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. Avery County will be strutting in after a win while Hendersonville will be coming in after a loss.

Avery County won the last time they faced Mountain Heritage and Hallie Johnson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Vikings came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 3-1 on Thursday for which the team can thank Johnson, who had 27 assists and 12 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Avery County was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 21-25, 25-23, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Hendersonville came up short against Owen on Thursday and fell 3-1.

While Hendersonville ultimately came up short, they really made Owen work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 28-26, 18-25, 25-20.

Hendersonville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Avery County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
