League recap: Rounsavall throws longest pass in league this season for Washington

Blake Rounsavall and Roman Fratesi provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Pillow Academy. The longest such play in MAIS AAA II District 1 this season, the connection resulted in 70 yards.

Magnolia Heights extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Heritage Academy, 14-13. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.

Washington's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Rounsavall threw for 162 and three touchdowns and Andrew Steinle had 80 yards receiving. On the ground Steinle chipped in 134 yards. Fratesi helped Washington's passing attack out by catching one ball for 70 yards.

Washington's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Generals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Rounsavall has thrown for 485 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Steinle has eight catches for 148 yards. Steinle leads the league in rushing with 524 yards.

Two of the top units in MAIS AAA II District 1 will face off this week when the Generals take on Lee Academy. Washington's offense has scored 215 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Colts have allowed only 171 on the year.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Philip Wasson's team takes on Lee Academy. At the moment, the Generals are in second, while the Colts are in third.
