Volleyball Recap: Valparaiso's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Valparaiso waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Concord Minutemen by a score of 2-0. The Vikings were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Minutemen, so the Vikings were just returning the favor.

Avery Mullin paced Valparaiso's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mullin got some help from Nicole Bontrager and her 11 assists. Lily Simpson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Valparaiso's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Concord, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-6.

Valparaiso has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Mishawaka on the 20th. As for Concord, they will square off against Elkhart Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
