Basketball Recap: Western Christian Extends Winning Streak to 16

Western Christian came tearing into Tuesday's game with 15 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 72-37 victory over the Salem Academy Crusaders. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Crusaders are ranked 81st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Western Christian's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.0 points over those games. As for Salem Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.

Western Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-42 victory against Delphian on the 12th. As for Salem Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-33 win against Kennedy on the 12th.
