Basketball Recap: Oasis Piles Up the Points Against Gateway

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oasis). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Gateway Eagles 85-50. The Sharks pushed the score to 67-38 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles had little chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oasis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carlos Barbara, who went 6-for-14 en route to 17 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Austin Louzao, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 14 points and three steals.

Oasis' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 72.2 points this season. As for Gateway, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Oasis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-52 victory against Dunbar on the 3rd. As for Gateway, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-46 defeat against Palmetto Ridge on the 5th.
