Volleyball Recap: Monta Vista Matadors vs. Los Gatos Wildcats
Monta Vista lost against Los Gatos back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Monta Vista Matadors fell 3-1 to the Los Gatos Wildcats. The Matadors haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Monta Vista was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Los Gatos work for it, especially in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 22-25, 25-17, 28-26.
Kiana Mark paced Monta Vista's offense, picking up 19 kills. Mark got some help from
Chloe Chen and her 16 assists. Mark was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Monta Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Los Gatos, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
