Basketball Recap: Northwest's Losing Streak Snapped at 11 Games

Northwest can finally bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past the Azle Hornets with a 54-50 win. The Texans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

Northwest's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-17. As for Azle, they dropped their record down to 8-13 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest will venture away from home to challenge Timber Creek at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Azle, they will head out on the road to face off against Granbury at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Azle is facing Granbury at the right time seeing as Granbury is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
