Soccer Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

If Independence was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Diamond Hill-Jarvis last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights fell just short of the Centennial Titans by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.

Independence now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Centennial, their win bumped their record up to 4-2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Independence will challenge rival Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Centennial is set to square off against their familiar foe Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
