Basketball Recap: Shepherd Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Shepherd won the last time they faced East Chambers, and Brayden White did his part to make sure it happened again. The Shepherd Pirates came out on top against the East Chambers Buccaneers by a score of 63-56 on Saturday thanks in part to White, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 27 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Shepherd has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for East Chambers, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-6.

Shepherd will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Coldspring-Oakhurst at 1:30 p.m. As for East Chambers, they have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome O'Connell at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. O'Connell will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something East Chambers surely won't give up without a fight.
