Preview: Maryland School for the Deaf Orioles vs. Perry Hall Christian
Maryland School for the Deaf has enjoyed a six-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against Perry Hall Christian at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Maryland School for the Deaf really took it to Mount Airy Christian Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 47-15 win at home. Maryland School for the Deaf pushed the score to 39-14 by the end of the third, a deficit Mount Airy Christian Academy had little chance of recovering from.
Meanwhile, Perry Hall Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Mount Airy Christian Academy 46-16 at home. The win was just what Perry Hall Christian needed coming off of a 65-27 loss in their prior match.
Maryland School for the Deaf's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Perry Hall Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-6 record this season.
Maryland School for the Deaf strolled past Perry Hall Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 48-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maryland School for the Deaf since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
