Recap: Amundsen Vikings vs. Perspectives-IIT/Joslin Wolves
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Amundsen Vikings walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Wolves 59-24 at home. Winning may never get old, but Amundsen sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Hannah Lopez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Giana Solomon, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Amundsen's victory bumped their record up to 12-15. As for Perspectives-IIT/Joslin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amundsen will take on Perspectives Leadership/Technology at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Perspectives-IIT/Joslin, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Chicago University at 5:00 p.m. on January 30th.
