Baseball Recap: North Sanpete's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

North Sanpete's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Delta Rabbits by a score of 9-6. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hawks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Peyton Rostron tossed a big game, pitching seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because North Sanpete is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-11 otherwise.

At the plate, North Sanpete let Wyatt Williams and Gage Oldroyd run wild. Williams went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Oldroyd went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave Oldroyd a new career-high. Ashton Olsen was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one RBI.

North Sanpete's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Delta, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Delta will welcome Emery at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Sanpete will be paying especially close attention to the Rabbits' match: after the Rabbits face off against the Spartans, they'll take on North Sanpete again at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
