Football Recap: Pisgah Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Pisgah dropped to 7-3 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They fell 36-30 to the Brevard Blue Devils. The matchup was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Bears couldn't quite close it out.

Matthew Mehaffey threw for 49 yards and one touchdown. Mason Putnam was his top target, picking up 40 receiving yards. On the ground, Landon Pope rushed for 166 yards and a pair of TDs.

As for Brevard, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 45.7 points this season.

The critical scores for Brevard came from Braylon Thompson, Chrstian Conley, Karter Macfie, Jax Whitmire, and Nyrell Skinner.
