Recap: Kankakee Trinity Academy vs. Grant Park Dragons
This season hasn't been kind to Kankakee Trinity Academy, who are still winless after their tenth match. They were beaten by Grant Park 57-21 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Kankakee Trinity Academy has suffered since November 18, 2023.
Farrah Schurman and Anna Manes certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Schurman scored six points, while Manes scored two points along with five rebounds.
Alejandra Maldonado was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 steals for Grant Park. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Sluis, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Kankakee Trinity Academy's loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Grant Park, their win bumped their record up to 3-16.
Kankakee Trinity Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Parkview Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Parkview Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Saturday. As for Grant Park, they will head out on the road to face off against Herscher at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
