Westside came tearing into Monday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Cesar E. Chavez Lobos by a score of 53-43. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lobos, too.

Cesar E. Chavez lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Johntta Thomas, who posted 15 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Grant Johnson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Westside pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for Cesar E. Chavez, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
