Pine Creek won the last time they faced Doherty and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Pine Creek was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-12, 25-16.

Gabby Gallardo paced Pine Creek's offense, picking up nine kills. Gallardo got some help from Saydie Rexroth and her 14 assists. Shelby Appell controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Pine Creek's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Doherty, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pine Creek is set to face off against their familiar foe Fountain-Fort Carson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Doherty will challenge rival Rampart at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
