Volleyball Recap: Daniel Comes Up Short at Home Against Chesnee

Daniel unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Chesnee Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Daniel sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-20, 22-25, 15-8.

Chamberlin Streeter paced Daniel's offense, picking up ten kills. Streeter got some help from Lydia Chasteen and her 24 assists.

Chesnee now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coincidentally, Daniel and Chesnee will both be playing Socastee the next time they take the court. The Lions will host the Braves at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
