It was a good run, but Montgomery Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Foley Lions by a score of 10-9.

Paxton Haigler was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Oscar Fiore, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Montgomery Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Foley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Montgomery Academy will head out to take on Reeltown at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Foley, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Mobile Christian at 12:30 p.m.
