Basketball Game Preview: Archmere Academy Auks vs. Freire Charter Dragon

The Archmere Academy Auks will challenge the Freire Charter Dragon at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Archmere Academy has insisted on making their last three contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-3 during that stretch of close contests.

On Saturday, Archmere Academy was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to Lake Forest.

Meanwhile, Freire Charter and Sankofa Freedom Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Freire Charter had to settle for second. They were dealt a 64-37 loss at the hands of the Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Dragon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 548th, while the Warriors are ranked 145th).

Freire Charter now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Archmere Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
