Xavier waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 65-64 W against the Career-Hillhouse Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 64-48 back in January.

Xavier's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Career-Hillhouse, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Xavier and Career-Hillhouse could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings. The Falcons (ranked 40th) will meet West Haven (ranked third) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Career-Hillhouse will face off against Hillhouse at 7:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (72 vs. 18).
