Volleyball Game Preview: Somerville Highlanders vs. Everett Crimson Tide

The Somerville Highlanders will square off against the Everett Crimson Tide at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Somerville is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Somerville didn't have quite enough to beat Lynn Classical and fell 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Somerville sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 22-25, 25-18, 20-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Everett lost 3-0 to Revere on Wednesday. The Crimson Tide have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-11, 25-17.

Everett now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Somerville, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Somerville took their win against Everett in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Highlanders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Crimson Tide turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
