Baseball Recap: Henry Ford Academy's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

After flying high against Chandler Park Academy last Wednesday, Henry Ford Academy came back down to earth. The Navigators took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the University Prep Panthers on Tuesday. The Navigators' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Kobe White made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Henry Ford Academy: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 0-3 otherwise. Evan Brown was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Henry Ford Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for University Prep, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Henry Ford Academy will face off against Rose Leadership Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for University Prep, they will take on Summit Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
