Volleyball Recap: Greer Smith and Anna Magee Secure Win for Regents

Regents entered their tilt with Jackson Prep on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Patriots. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

While Regents might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Jackson Prep scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-19.

Leading Regents to victory were Anna Magee and Greer Smith. Magee had 13 digs and three aces, while Smith had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Magee has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good server: Regents was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jackson Prep only served seven aces.

Regents' record now sits at 7-5. As for Jackson Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-6.

Looking ahead, Regents will venture away from home to challenge Starkville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jackson Prep, they will host Hartfield Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
