Basketball Recap: Shiloh Comes Up Short

Shiloh suffered their closest loss since January 17th on Saturday. They fell just short of the Decatur Bulldogs by a score of 36-33. The Generals have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Decatur got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Eli Beard out in front who posted eight points and five boards. Beard is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 60% in the last six games he's played. Bryce Howson was another key player, putting up five points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Shiloh's defeat dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Decatur, their record now sits at 16-11.

Shiloh has already played their next matchup, an 81-29 loss against Langston Hughes on the 19th. As for Decatur, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-40 defeat against Dutchtown on the 19th.
