Baseball Recap: Hillcrest Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Wapello

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hillcrest Academy). They never let the Wapello Indians get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Ravens considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

The win made it two in a row for Hillcrest Academy and bumps their season record up to 7-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Wapello, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Looking ahead, Hillcrest Academy will host Winfield-Mt. Union on Tuesday. As for Wapello, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-2 defeat against Lone Tree on the 20th.
