Lometa's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They managed a 36-30 win over Rochelle. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lometa also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Lometa's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Rochelle, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lometa will head out to face off against Saint Jo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Rochelle, they will take on Water Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed 3.5 points per game this season, so the Hornets' offense will have their work cut out for them.
