It was a good run, but Woodburn unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Albany Bulldogs. Woodburn was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as West Albany apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Woodburn's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-6. As for West Albany, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Woodburn and West Albany should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. Woodburn will face off against Dallas at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 190 places (59 vs. 249). Meanwhile, West Albany (ranked 33rd) will meet Central (ranked 156th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
