Firelands came tearing into Thursday's contest with 12 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Ravenna Ravens as they made off with a 3-0 victory.
One reason for the win was Firelands' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-6, 25-5.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Firelands to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lexi Schrader, who had 12 assists and three digs. Schrader is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Firelands was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 26 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Firelands' win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Ravenna, they are on a 20-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-22.
Coming up, Firelands will be playing at home against Lutheran West at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ravenna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
