Evans is 2-8 against Greenbrier since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. Evans is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

Evans took a loss when they played away from home back in March, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Bradwell Institute. Given Evans' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 51st, while Bradwell Institute are ranked 213th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Treven McNall and Roger Portillo scored both of Evans' goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Greenbrier won against Effingham County back in March with four goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again last Friday. The Wolfpack walked away with a 4-2 victory over South Effingham. The win made it back-to-back victories for Greenbrier.

Greenbrier used a slightly different lineup for their bout with South Effingham. Muhammad Williams played for 75 minutes having averaged 39.1 this season and Ronan Kelly got 80 vs. an average of 42.7. Williams made the most of the opportunity, putting up one assist A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Evans' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for Greenbrier, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Everything went Evans' way against Greenbrier when the teams last played back in March, as Evans made off with a 4-0 win. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolfpack turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
