Softball Recap: Wicksburg Drops Season-High Score on Northside Methodist Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wicksburg). They never let the Northside Methodist Academy Knights get on the board and left with a 26-0 win on Tuesday. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Ella Grace Kelley was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Joyner, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Wicksburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Wicksburg is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. Northside Methodist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
