Basketball Game Preview: Logan Longhorns vs. Fort Sumner/House

Logan and Fort Sumner/House are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2023, but not for long. The Logan Longhorns will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Sumner/House at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

On Thursday, Logan came up short against Texico and fell 49-41. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Logan had strong showings from Sarah Williams, who posted eight points, and Desta Rose, who put up 12 points and three steals. Rose is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fort Sumner/House, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They breezed by Grady to the tune of 61-17 on Saturday. Fort Sumner/House has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

Fort Sumner/House is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Logan, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
