Volleyball Recap: Old Colony RVT Comes Up Short

Old Colony RVT was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Norfolk County Agricultural Rams. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Old Colony RVT started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-17.

Shivonya Scott was nothing short of spectacular for Norfolk County Agricultural: she had 17 digs and three aces. Scott has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last ten times she's played. Erica Lange also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Old Colony RVT's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Norfolk County Agricultural, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Old Colony RVT will square off against rival Upper Cape Cod RVT at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Norfolk County Agricultural is set to take on their familiar foe Cape Cod RVT at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
