 Carbon Hill came into Friday's   matchup having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Oakman Wildcats by a score of  11-6  on Friday. Carbon Hill's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
  Logan Harper was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  struck out 11 batters over  6.2 innings while giving up  three earned  (and three unearned) runs off   six  hits (and not a single walk). Harper was also big at the plate,  firing off three  doubles, three  RBI,  and two  runs while going 5-for-5.
 In other batting news,  Samuel Aaron was  excellent,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Haigan Usrey, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 On Oakman's side,  Luke Martin was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with two  triples, two  RBI,  and a  run. Martin is on a roll when it comes to  triples, as he's  now  hit  at least one in the last three games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Leger Martin, who  went 2-for-3 with a  triple and  an  RBI.
 Carbon Hill's win  ended  a  six-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 9-13. As for Oakman, their loss dropped their record down to 16-7.
 Carbon Hill is on the road again  on Tuesday to play Fayette County at 4:30  p.m. Fayette County hasn't scored more than one runs for three games straight, a trend the  team is eager to reverse. As for Oakman, they will be playing at home against Indian Springs at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Indian Springs will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  victory, something Oakman surely won't give up without a fight.
