Basketball Recap: West Jefferson Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

On Saturday, everything went the West Jefferson Roughriders's way against the Madison Christian Eagles as the West Jefferson Roughriders made off with a 50-28 victory. The Roughriders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Austin Buescher, who went 8 of 16 on his way to 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Buescher is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Brodie Quinn, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

West Jefferson's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-4. As for Madison Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Jefferson will face off against Catholic Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madison Christian, they will challenge Millersport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
