Preview: Riverside Generals vs. Deltona Wolves
The Riverside Generals will take on the Deltona Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Riverside walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Commanders 72-39 at home. Winning may never get old, but Riverside sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Riverside relied on the efforts of Tae'Shuan Gelsey, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and five steals, and Jaquan Wells, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wells has scored all season. Jesus Rice was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Deltona ended up a good deal behind St. Augustine on Thursday and lost 69-55.
Riverside pushed their record up to 17-8 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Deltona, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season.
