Baseball Recap: Plumstead Christian Has No Trouble Against Lincoln Leadership Academy

Plumstead Christian won the last time they faced Lincoln Leadership Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. Plumstead Christian blew past Lincoln Leadership Academy 19-4. Plumstead Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Phil Young was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Young was also solid in the batter's box, earning two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Chase Blattner was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Declan Glass, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Plumstead Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Plumstead Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
