Volleyball Recap: Archbishop Chapelle Finds Home Court Redemption Against Edna Karr

There's no place like home for Archbishop Chapelle, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Edna Karr Cougars on Wednesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Chipmunks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Archbishop Chapelle was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13, 25-11.

Victoria McCann paced Archbishop Chapelle's offense, picking up 15 kills. McCann got some help from Blythe Bonnaffons and her 18 assists. Gianna DeLuca controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

The win got Archbishop Chapelle back to even at 3-3. As for Edna Karr, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Archbishop Chapelle will square off against Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edna Karr, they will take on Frederick A. Douglass at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
