Soccer Game Preview: Charter Oak vs. Covina

The Charter Oak Chargers will venture away from home to challenge the Covina Colts at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Thursday, Charter Oak didn't have quite enough to beat Rowland and fell 2-1. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Covina didn't have quite enough to beat Northview on Thursday and fell 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Colts came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Vikings are ranked 629th).

Charter Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14-1. As for Covina, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1-1 and their overall record down to 10-3-3.
