Softball Recap: Palisades Picks Up 15th Consecutive Victory

Palisades extended their winning streak to 15 on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 21-3 in the process. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Pen Argyl Green Knights. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Karlye Teman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Catie Russo was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Lucas, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for Pen Argyl, their loss dropped their record down to 16-7. They haven't had much luck with Palisades recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

On Pen Argyl's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Dehart, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Talia Curtolo also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

As of now, neither Palisades nor Pen Argyl have any future games scheduled.
