Softball Recap: McCall-Donnelly Comes Up Short

McCall-Donnelly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-3 to the South Fremont Cougars. The Vandals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

McCall-Donnelly saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Val Sofaly, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Jill Thomas also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

McCall-Donnelly's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for South Fremont, their record is now 5-6.

McCall-Donnelly wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-7 win against North Fremont on the 5th. As for South Fremont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-9 victory against Declo on the 5th.
