Basketball Game Preview: Enumclaw Hornets vs. Beamer Titans

Enumclaw has won four straight games at home, while Beamer has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Enumclaw Hornets will host the Beamer Titans at 5:30 p.m. Enumclaw knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Beamer likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Enumclaw was fully in charge, breezing past Jefferson 77-40. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Raiders are ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Beamer). They breezed by Jefferson to the tune of 94-44 on Tuesday. With the Titans ahead 57-23 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Beamer has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Enumclaw, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

Enumclaw skirted past Beamer 52-50 when the teams last played back in January. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Beamer's Terrence Whiting, who posted 21 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Enumclaw still be able to contain Whiting? There's only one way to find out.
