Soccer Recap: Geneseo Comes Up Short

Geneseo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the East Moline United Panthers. While losing is never fun, Geneseo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 341st, while East Moline United are ranked 49th).

Geneseo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for East Moline United, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.

Coming up, Geneseo will square off against Downers Grove North at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Moline United, they will head out to square off against Streator/Woodland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
