Resurrection Christian skate past Northridge with ease

The Resurrection Christian Cougars had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.8 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 42-14 victory over Northridge. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Resurrection Christian just coasted through the last quarter.

Northridge's loss came despite strong showings from Justin Thill and Braden Asmus. Thill rushed for 11 yards and a touchdown, while Asmus picked up 103 receiving yards and a touchdown. Asmus' longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.

Resurrection Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.33 points. As for Northridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Resurrection Christian will look to defend their home field on Friday against Thompson Valley at 7:00 p.m. Thompson Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Northridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Severance at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Severance is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
