Southern Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clay County Christian Academy Eagles. One positive for the Patriots, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Jacelyn Mckee made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. She also brought in two RBI, marking her first of the season. Danielle French was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base.

Southern Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Southern Christian will take on Ezekiel Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clay County Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southern Christian at 4:00 p.m. on April 1st.
