Basketball Game Preview: Mohonasen Warriors vs. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Indians

Mohonasen and Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Mohonasen Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Mohonasen was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-42 to Voorheesville. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 346th, while the Blackbirds are ranked 120th).

Meanwhile, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 56-35 to Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Mohonasen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.

Mohonasen took their win against Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 48-22. Will Mohonasen repeat their success, or does Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
