Basketball Recap: Hough Huskies vs. Hopewell Titans
Make it seven blowout wins for the Hough Huskies this season. They blew past Hopewell 63-11 at home on Friday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-5.
Leading Hough to victory were Ka'Leiya Jones and Chloe Galombeck. Jones scored 12 points along with three steals, while Galombeck scored 13 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. Sophia Zoerb was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Hough pushed their record up to 11-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Hopewell, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hough will take on the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Mecklenburg is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games. As for Hopewell, they will be playing at home against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
