Recap: Pleasant Valley Bears vs. East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves
The Pleasant Valley Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They strolled past East Stroudsburg North with points to spare, taking the game 79-65. The victory was just what Pleasant Valley needed coming off of a 69-43 defeat in their prior matchup.
Loss or not, East Stroudsburg North got some senior leadership from Bryceson Dobie and Nate Wilder. Dobie scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and six assists, while Wilder. dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Wilder has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Wayne King, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Pleasant Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-9 record this season. As for East Stroudsburg North, they dropped their record down to 9-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Pleasant Valley will challenge Lehigh Valley Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Stroudsburg North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Easton Area at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Easton Area will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 369th, while East Stroudsburg North is ranked 164th).
