Baseball Recap: Dr. Krop Gets the Win

Dr. Krop lost to Cooper City back in March of 2015, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Dr. Krop Lightning walked away with a 6-3 win over the Cooper City Cowboys.

Fernando Guerrero spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Esaul Pena, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. That run was his first of the season.

Dr. Krop's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Cooper City, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dr. Krop will venture away from home to face off against NSU University at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cooper City, they will face off against McArthur at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
